Since October 2023, I've had the privilege of being LP@UF's Design and Publishing Assistant. I have been a graphic designer, copywriter, and editor on various projects including book covers, promotional materials, and publications.

Fighting Shirley Chisholm
In honor of what would have been Shirley Chisolm's 100th birthday, LibraryPress@UF reissued Fighting Shirley Chisholm by Dr. James Haskins.
The book is a biography of the first black congresswoman and the first black woman to run for the presidential nomination.
I assisted in redesigning the cover and layout for this special publication.
Design Inspiration
Collage has been a powerful medium in uniting art and politics. Inspired by art movements such as Dadaism and Constructivism,
Music Archive
The Record Studio holds all custom soundtracks and moods in the Archive. Users can view records from a monthly, weekly, or daily perspective to see their top emotions, artists, and songs.
Research
Research was the backbone of this project. I surveyed 53 college students to learn about their music streaming likes and dislikes. I discovered that most students are interested in finding new music, listening to music daily, and seeing their music stats.
Reflection
This is one of my favorite projects. It's a passion project that I hope to continue working on. I want to flesh out the Profile, Tracks, and Archive pages. I designed these pages at the end of my timeline and want them to be as impactful as the Record Studio pages. I now know I don't have to create every page of an app (unless it's getting developed, of course). This will save me valuable time in the future.
